What a long strange trip...

It has been 10 months since I posted on this blog. In that time I have started two weekly webcomics (with two great writers) and have started to become a local comic celebrity!

I'm very busy with my latest book... almost done penciling. And now I have also started doing a P.E.T. comic strip on my lunch hour at work. It's fun to do little side stories. Here are the first Five:

Manley Appearance, April 26th!

I will be giving away FREE MINI-COMICS at Right Brain Brewery (in Traverse City) this coming Tuesday (April 26th) from 8-10pm. These Mini-comics contain a 6 page preview of Gone (my Graphic Novel, which will be available there for $10) and the 7 page P.E.T. Christmas special! Also there will be free bumper stickers (a few to choose from) and, yes there is more, I may do drawings... depending on how drunk I get.

I am 31 pages into the penciling of Snowed In: A Paranormal Extraction Team Adventure! But that's not all! I will also include a large sketchbook section like I did with Gone. Working on Finishing Gone: A Paranormal Extraction Team Adventure.

I'm 1/6 of the way done inking. The pages are looking beautiful! When I finally get one done that isn't a massive spoiler I will post it here. Until then here is a promotional image (feel free to spread the word - or use it to create a pin-up that I can include in the book).

It's been a while.

Wow, August? That was soooo long ago. Well here is that update I promised back then. I still have 3 books for sale on Amazon (that you haven't bought, yet... yeah, I know you haven't - don't lie to me!) and I am about to start inking Gone: A Paranormal Extraction Team Adventure. It turned out to be exactly 60 pages (plus extras), I hope to finish by Christmas.

The New Book Update

Over the weekend I took all my sketch ideas for the new book and just dove into the actual production of it. With the assistance of my 5 year old son I have penciled 10 pages. And today, I have designed the logo for my paranormal investigation team:

I have the first 10 pages of the "NEW BOOK" in my head. It's good stuff, very sad, very thrilling... Here is a first look at the characters that will make up the paranormal investigation team:

It's been awhile...

So, It's been since end of May and no updates? I've been super busy (easy excuse) and I know this site will really get going the closer I get to finishing the books. "Books", you say. I've started an all ages book that involves ghosts and werewolves and maybe even prehensile hair... Still early in it's development, more later. So, The Manleys get fit is still going well, a couple pages a month and I should be done early 2012 (just in time for the end of the world).

Okay, you guys took advantage of me, and I am not too happy about it. I've been posting all the pages I've done so far as a way for you to judge my progress and get a taste for the way the pages are looking. But, with the last post I realized that you could click on the image and then zoom in and read all the pages clearly! That is not what I wanted to happen... so as of now, I am making my file sizes smaller. Nothing in life is free people, you want to read this book, you will have to buy the book when it is finished!

Just yesterday I took my page count to 10... and now today I am taking it all the way to 12! Amazing, two pages in one day! At this pace I might finish this book by next year!
